Environmental protection & educational support

“Imiti ikula empanga.” The growing trees shape the forest – just as young people shape the future.

This Zambian proverb guides our work. Where children gain access to education, they grow – and with them a whole society. Our association was founded in May 2024 and continues the Zambia projects of the “Wald schafft Zukunft” foundation.

Education is more than lessons.

We renovate schools, build sanitary facilities, provide learning materials and promote equality and community. In doing so we support children and adults – regardless of origin, gender, age or religion.

Because education gives children security, self-confidence and the chance to shape their future under their own steam.

Enforcing the right to education

Why Zambia?

Because this country, its people and the encounters on the ground have touched us deeply.

Zambia is a country in southern Africa – on a continent that is far more diverse than many images here suggest. It is not “Africa” that is poor; every country has its own history, its own strengths and its own challenges.

In Zambia, however, many people live under very difficult conditions and far below the poverty line. Poverty, long journeys to school, missing infrastructure and strained family structures make access to good education – or to education at all – difficult for many children.

This is exactly where we come in. We want to strengthen schools, improve learning conditions and give children places where they can learn, grow and dream in safety.

At the same time, we do not see Zambia only through its problems. We see a country full of strength, community and potential, and people who want to shape their future actively.
