Transparency

All the information about our association – in one place.

Transparency and openness are the foundation of responsible association work.

Anyone who works for the common good should make it clear what goals are being pursued, where the funds come from, how they are used and who takes the decisions. That is why we publish the following information in line with the voluntary commitment of the Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft (Transparent Civil Society Initiative).

We want members, donors, funding partners and anyone interested to be able to follow our work closely. We therefore make key information about our association, our charitable status, where our funds come from and how they are used, and about our staffing structure publicly available.

Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft

We have signed the voluntary commitment of the Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft and make the following ten items of transparency information publicly available.

Our vision:
A world in which every child has access to good education and can shape their own future.

Our mission:
We improve education in rural regions of Zambia – through renovation work, equipping schools and promoting environmental awareness.

What we do:
We build and renovate classrooms, dormitories and sanitary facilities, provide school furniture and learning materials and support educational projects together with local partners. In Germany we raise awareness of global responsibility, above all among children and young people.

Our values:
Justice, solidarity, sustainability, partnership as equals and transparent project work.

Funding activity / funding criteria:
The association does not currently award grants that can be applied for freely and does not run any public funding programmes or calls for applications. Projects are reviewed and decided on by the board. The main criteria are the purpose set out in the statutes, the specific need on the ground, feasibility, cooperation with local partners, affordability and clear documentation of how funds are used.
